Mr. Alejandro Hernández is an Education Programs Consultant in the Curriculum Frameworks and Instructional Resources Division at the California Department of Education (CDE). He supports the development of standards and curriculum frameworks, and has been creating tools to support the implementation of the ELA/ELD Framework. He has been a Spanish, ELA and ELD high school teacher in both Salinas and Elk Grove. Before joining CDE, for 12 years he was an instructional coach at K-12 schools throughout California and in Georgia, Washington State, and Washington, D.C.
