Maggie Beddow is a Professor of Education at California State University, Sacramento where she has taught numerous courses on social studies methods, bilingual education and English learners. She was the former director of ISPAS (International Studies Project at Sacramento) - a California Subject Matter Project. Dr. Beddow earned her Ph.D. in Education (Language, Literacy, and Culture) at the University of California, Davis. Maggie has presented numerous times at CCSS and at the California Association for Bilingual Education. She studied in Spain, Mexico, Guatemala, Peru, and Cuba, and was a former middle school administrator and bilingual elementary/secondary teacher where she was named “Teacher of the Year."
