Aileen is an Education Administrator in the Educator Excellence and Equity Division at the California Department of Education. She oversees activities related to state-level professional learning for English Language Arts/Literacy, World Language, History-Social Science/Civics, the Arts, and Social and Emotional Learning. Her office also oversees the International Visiting Teacher Program and hosted California’s first Global Education Summit and writing of the final report, Educating for Global Competency: Recommendations from the 2016 California Global Education Summit.
